Turn on Garmin Historical Data

Garmin's screen shows Historical Data off when you connect Garmin. Turn it on so your coach sees your recent past workouts, not only the new ones.

Updated October 28, 2026

Why it matters

With Historical Data on, Garmin sends Train Ultra about the last month of your workouts, sleep, and recovery when you connect. With it off, your coach sees only what you do after you connect.

Turn it on when you connect

  1. In Train Ultra, connect Garmin.
  2. On Garmin's screen, turn on Historical Data. Keep the other switches on.
  3. Select Save.

Already connected? Turn it on in Garmin Connect

You do not need to connect Garmin again. Turn on Historical Data in the Garmin Connect app, and Train Ultra asks Garmin for your recent history. Your past workouts can take a few minutes to show up.

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone.
  2. Tap More, then Settings, then Connected Apps.
  3. Tap Train Ultra.
  4. Turn on Historical Data.

Your full Garmin history

Garmin sends only about the last month of past workouts, even with Historical Data on. To bring in every past season, import a Garmin data export. The guide below shows how.
